30th High School reunion this weekend?

30th high school reunions
Praire Crone asked:

My 30th high school reunion is this weekend and I”ve decided not to go even though I live here right where the reunion is being held. I hated High School. TOo many cliques, too much unnecessary drama and pain. So I figure my name and phone number are in the book. If any one wants to see or talk to me they can call. What do you think?

After 30 years you should be over all the cliques already.
I can’t wait till my 20th high school reunion. I hated school too but I love to see the looks on my fellow classmates when they see how good I look and what a great family I have

I think you should go. Maybe everyone will see how great you turned out. And if you don’t have a good time you can alwyas leave.

As much as I hated high school too…I may go to my reunion. But I don’t know. I only want to see my friends…don’t really care for the rest of the class.

You should go and see all the people. I did not want to to my 40th reunion for the same reasons you stated. I was amazed at how well I had survived compared to some of the snooty nosed uppers. One gal who would not even gave me the time of day in H.S., kept asking me if I was married. I told her only for 34 years, she said go to hell & walked off. I found out to night before she had got so drunk at the banquet she had to be carried out. Her teeth looked as if she had rooted up many gardens. Go if you have taken care of yourself & lived a good life. You will be suprised how many things have changed. Don’t miss this great opportunity!

I have my 20th reunion coming up. I never went to my 10th reunion for similar reasons. I never belonged to a clique, I was very shy in high school, never was good in school and never had a boyfriend. Now I’m married, to a doctor I may add, have a career as an art director. I may be unemployed for the moment, and could lose 10 pounds, I can keep going. But nobody is perfect. I’ve learned to accept myself and it took me 38 years to figure it out. Go to your reunion. You may just need closure:)
